Meet the two actors of Battlestar Galactica!
All the fans of the Anglo-American series Battlestar Galactica should faint at the coming of the most glamourous couple of the Galactica spaceship: Jamie Bamber and Kandyse McClure!
Presentation of the series
The phenomenon Battlestar began in 2003, when Sci Fi Channel orders a remake of the original series Galactica, created by Glen A. Larson and broadcasted on TV between 1978 and 1979. The original synopsis holds in a few lines and is enough to plunge us into another universe, the one of space opera.In the series, powerful robots, the Cylons, are the masters of the universe. Aboard the last war spaceship, the Galactica, some human beings try to survive by leading the trip of the last chance : fin a mythical planet called Earth.
Jamie Bamber
The Anglo-American actor Jamie Bamber plays the part of Lee « Apollo » Adama, captain of the Galactica fleet.The actor seems to deserve the nickname of Appolo since his plastic beauty leave no women unsensitive!
Bamber was born in Hammersmith, London to Northern Irish mother and an American father . He holds American citizenship through his father.
Bamber was educated at the independent St Paul's School in Barnes, London, and received a first class honours degree in Modern Languages (Italian and French) at St John's College, Cambridge, before attending the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).
Bamber married actress Kerry Norton in September 2003. They have three daughters: Isla Elizabeth Angela Griffith and twins Darcy and Ava.
Norton has made several appearances as Paramedic Layne Ishay in Battlestar Galactica.
Jamie Bamber also acted in the series Cold Case, Ghost Whisperer and Law & Order : UK .
Kandyse McClure
The actress Kandyse McClure, plays the part of Anastasia Dualla, Lee Adama's wife in the series. Canadien, originated from South Africa, Kandyse McCLure appread in many other series like Smallville and Dark Angel.
She is more famous for her role of Sue Snell in the TV adaptation of Carrie, by Stephen King.
She also had a role in the film Romeo must die in 2000 starring the famous actor Jet Li.
So meet us on the Comic Con’ festival from the 2nd to 5th July to meet the two actors of Battlestar Galactica, the headlight series of Sci Fi channel.
